Coloured earths in India

In the middle of Bombay, there is a manufacture of ochres and natural iron oxides extracted from over 10 quarries situated in the upper regions. The pigments are crushed and bagged before being sent to all parts of the world.
One particularity about India is that due to the large quantities of natural red ochre, coloured earths are not burned.
