Cradle of the coloured earths

Italy is certainly the country in the world which holds the most varied spectrum of coloured earths. Practically all pigments can be found in small quantities. Green earth, ochre, Sienna, black earth and umber are still being quarried in various areas. They are then processed in a small factory owned by the Dolci family, located in Verona's centre.
